G.R. Noto Electrical Construction understands the importance of safety in the workplace. Procedures and training are extremely important in preventing incident or injury from occurring.

We have in place a Company Safety Committee, with representatives from our administration, project management, field operations, and company logistic support groups. This safety committee is operated in partnership with our insurance carrier and is structured in accordance with guidelines established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania/ Department of Labor & Industry’s “PennSAFE” Pennsylvania Safety First Initiative.

Training
We invest extensively in the training and certification of all of our employees. G.R. Noto Electrical Construction is a partner with the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for the Electrical Construction Industry in sponsoring and administering the most current training programs available; including United States Department of Labor OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 certification; and the NFPA-70E certification.

NFPA-70E “Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace”©, as developed and published by the National Fire Protection Association®, is recognized worldwide as the Industry Consensus Standard for electrical safe work practices.

As of August 2008, we are actively participating in the Healthcare Construction Certificate Program, which is administered by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering® (ASHE), in association with the American Hospital Association. This program promotes the understanding of the latest compliance issues in healthcare construction and the expectation of healthcare facility owners, staff, and patients.

In addition, we offer in depth site-specific training in such areas as forklift operation, aerial platform operations, confined space entry procedures, and hazardous materials and environments.

Safety Manual
We have an extensive safety manual that is required to be accessible to all employees on every jobsite. Our safety manual contains information assembled by our company safety committee and insurance carrier, to include all requirements specified by OSHA. Subjects such as mechanical, electrical, and construction safe practices; and fall protection, respiratory protection, Tool Box Talks, Hazardous Communication Program and Material Safety Data Sheets are addressed in detail.
